Sale of Southern Winds Hospital closes: 4 things to know

Southern Winds Hospital in Hialeah, Fla., has been sold to 4225, an affiliate of Millennium Management in Miami, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

Here are four things to know about the deal.

1. The total price of the deal was not disclosed to the South Florida Business Journal. However, the publication cited county records, which show that the deed to the 72-bed psychiatric hospital traded for $15 million.

2. As part of the deal, 4225 was granted a five-year, $12.8 million mortgage and a one-year, $2 million operator loan.

3. With state approval, the hospital license will be transferred to Southern Winds Health, also part of Millennium Management.

4. The Westchester General Hospital main campus in Hialeah was not part of the deal, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
