Quorum to sell hospital, exit Tennessee

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, Tenn., to Braden Health.

Quorum, which operates 24 hospitals across 14 states, said it expects to complete the divestiture of 45-bed Henderson County Community Hospital by the end of the first quarter of 2020. If the transaction closes, Quorum will no longer operate any hospitals in Tennessee. 

Quorum will use proceeds from the transaction to repay outstanding principal on its term loan facility.
