Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health acquired Goshen (Ind.) Health’s 105-bed acute care hospital and network of primary and specialty care physicians on Oct. 1.
Parkview Health signed an affiliation agreement with the hospital, now Parkview Goshen Hospital, in early June.
Under the acquisition, Parkview Goshen Hospital will have access to Parkview’s additional resources, technology and expertise to support continued growth and long-term sustainability, according to an Oct. 1 news release shared with Becker’s.
Approximately 2,000 Goshen Health employees and providers will integrate with Parkview’s systems and infrastructure in the coming months. Branding, signage and technology platforms will be updated over the next year.
Parkview Health now comprises 16 hospitals, in addition to a network of more than 300 Parkview Physicians Group locations.
“Goshen Health has built an exceptional legacy of serving this community, and we are honored to welcome its co-workers, providers and patients to Parkview,” Ray Dusman, MD, president of physician and clinical enterprise at Parkview Health, said in the release. “Together, we will build on that legacy, expand access to care close to home and advance our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare at the best cost for the communities we serve.”
