Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health has completed its $190 million acquisition of two hospitals from Advocate Aurora Health, which has dual headquarters in Downers Grove, Ill., and Milwaukee. 

After a year of working to clear regulatory hurdles, two Boston health centers — East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and the South End Community Health Center — have merged, according to the Boston Globe. 

Orlando (Fla.) Health on July 1 completed its acquisition of St. Cloud (Fla.) Regional Medical Center from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

Twenty-two parties interested in purchasing some or all of Americore Holdings' assets have signed nondisclosure agreements, according to a Chapter 11 trustee status report published June 17. Americore Holdings is a Florida-based three-hospital network that filed for bankruptcy in December.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems became the largest for-profit hospital operator in the nation in 2014 when it acquired Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates. Now, the company is selling off hospitals to pay down its debt.
