Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network has acquired Easton (Pa.) Hospital from Steward Health Care, a for-profit system based in Dallas. 

Nine transactions involving hospitals and health systems announced, finalized or advanced in the last two weeks:

An advisory group formed to consider bids for New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., has voted unanimously to recommend the hospital pursue a partnership with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Nine of the 14 healthcare transactions in the second quarter involved for-profit sellers, including for-profit health systems looking to reshape their portfolios, according to Kaufman Hall's M&A Quarterly Activity Report. 

New Martinsville, W.V.-based Wetzel County Hospital officially joined the Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System on July 1.

Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke's Health System assumed management of Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola, Kan., on July 1, according to the Kansas City Business Journal. 

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has completed the sale of Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston to Allegiance Health Management.
