Our Lady of the Lake Regional buys majority interest in surgical hospital

Baton Rouge, La.-based Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has acquired a majority share in Slidell, La.-based Southern Surgical Hospital, according to The Advocate.

The price and the terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the report.

The acquisition broadens Our Lady of the Lake’s ability to provide inpatient and outpatient care to patients in southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

Southern Surgical will join the Covington, La.-based hospitals Our Lady of the LakeSurgery ─ Ponchartrain and Lake Urgent Care ─  Northshore, and Our Lady of the AngelsHospital in Bogalusa, La.
