Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio, has officially become part of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Southwest Healthcare Services, according to a Ledger Independent report.

After four attempts in nearly two years to sell, BCGH finalized its sale to Southwest Thursday. Southwest agreed to assume vendor debts, leases, loans and anything currently owed by the facility. As of May 31, that amount was more than $9.765 million.

Southwest has also devised a payment plan for the $300,000 owed to the county by the hospital so the debt will be paid off by July 1, 2012.
