Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint and Norton have agreed to shift the full ownership of the hospitals to Norton.

Norton and LifePoint have jointly owned and operated both hospitals through a joint venture known as the Regional Health Network of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Norton aims to expand the two hospitals’ specialty services and invest in workforce development and professional growth for employees. Patients will continue to access the hospitals in the same ways they do now and can continue to see the same physicians.

The transaction is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
