Northwell, Maimonides extend strategic partnership by 2 years

Great Neck N.Y.-based Northwell Health and Maimonides Medical Center, a 711-bed facility in Brooklyn, N.Y., revealed their intent to extend their strategic partnership agreement for another two years, the organizations announced July 16.

Here are three things to know:

1. The affiliation, which was initially signed in August 2015, will remain in effect until August 2020.

2. Under the extended agreement, the organizations will expand their range of initiatives and continue to allow providers to collaborate and share best practices across a variety of specialty areas.

3. During the past three years of the affiliation, Northwell Health has financed renovations at the 711-bed hospital and expanded its ambulatory network of clinical services, among other improvements.
