Monterey, Salinas hospitals enter partnership agreement

The board of directors for both Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Healthcare System and Community Hospital of the Monterey (Calif.) Peninsula unanimously voted to approve a multimillion dollar partnership, effective immediately, according to KSBW-8 News.

According to the agreement, the health systems will become the joint owners of Aspire Health Plan, Community Health Innovations ─ both in Monterey ─ and Salinas, Calif.-based Coastal Management Services.

“While the partnership is strategic from a business standpoint, this collaboration is ultimately designed to deliver better care to the community,” said Allen Radner, MD, CMO at SVMHS. “We are focused on keeping people healthy and that is a vision shared by both organizations.”
