Under the agreement, Aetna policyholders with commercial and employer-based coverage will have access to Mission Health’s hospitals, outpatient centers and physicians at in-network rates. Mission Health signed a similar in-network agreement with Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna July 24, effective Sept. 1.

Both contracts come as negotiations between Mission Health and North Carolina’s largest insurer, Durham-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, stall.
