Under the affiliation agreement, Memorial Hospital will change its name to Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.
Staci Covey, Guthrie’s senior vice president for post-acute care, told The Daily Review the affiliation process will be ongoing as Memorial Hospital and Guthrie look at how to integrate services and processes to best serve patients and health needs in the community.
One of the first steps after affiliation will be to integrate Memorial’s in-home care and hospice services into the Guthrie system.
The move will impact 10 Memorial employees, who will become Guthrie employees, Ms. Covey said, according to The Daily Review.
