Under the agreement, J.C. Blair and PinnacleHealth will develop clinical affiliations and close corporate alignment in order to expand their offering of high-quality care in the region. They entered into exclusive partnership negotiations in May 2013. In July, the two health systems extended their confidentiality and exclusivity agreement concerning negotiations, and they signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding this past September.
J.C. Blair President and CEO Lisa Mallon told WTAJ the most pressing strategic initiative for the collaboration involves recruiting physicians and making investments needed to support those physicians.
