Under the deal, Alto Pharmacy acquired Round Health’s technology assets, not its staff. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Round Health was created by Matt Blum, a former designer at Apple, Matt Crowley, a former design engineer at Apple, and Lauren Meleney, a former engineering project manager at PCH Lime Lab, a product engineering consulting firm in San Francisco.
Alto Pharmacy delivers prescription medicines to more than 25,000 patients in the Bay Area through an in-house fleet of couriers. Officials said they plan to expand the service to patients in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., this summer, the report states.
