Duncan Regional Hospital to lease, operate Jefferson County Hospital

Duncan (Okla.) Regional Hospital will lease the facility and assume operations at Waurika, Okla.-based Jefferson County Hospital, effective Feb. 1, according to The Duncan Banner.

As part of the agreement, DRH will also invest in the hospital, providing funding for equipment, IT infrastructure and repairs and maintenance of hospital facilities. Current staff members will also transition into DRH employees once the agreement is finalized.

“As we went through the due diligence process with the board and leadership at JCH, we were able to create a win-win for the hospitals and the citizens of Jefferson County,” said Jay Johnson, president and CEO of DRH.
