Executives from both hospitals have agreed to continue discussion about the sale, allowing McLaren Health time to meet CMS stipulations. According to the report, executives plan to reconvene later this week to discuss the sale’s “viability.”
Cheboygan Memorial closed April 3 after the sale to McLaren Health halted because of complications with recertification and licensure by CMS. McLaren has remained in the area with plans to reopen a number of former CMH clinics.
