CHS divests Texas hospital to HCA subsidiary

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems completed its divestiture of 103-bed Weatherford (Texas) Regional Medical Center and its associated assets to Irving, Texas-based Medical City Healthcare Oct. 1.

Medical City Healthcare is a subsidiary of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. The acquisition constitutes Medical City Healthcare’s 14th hospital in the north Texas area.

The sale is part of CHS’ plan to divest 30 hospitals.
