Bergen Regional rebrands under new management

Nonprofit Paramus, N.J.-based Care Plus Bergen assumed management of Bergen Regional Medical Center, also in Paramus, Oct. 1. Bergen Regional also rebranded as New Bridge Medical Center.

New Bridge will serve as a clinical affiliate of Newark, N.J.-based Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences.

The Bergen County Freeholder board unanimously voted to allow Care Plus Bergen to operate the 1,071-bed hospital in July. Care Plus Bergen was formed through an alliance between Newark-based Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Paramus-based Care Plus NJ and Integrity House, a nonprofit provider of substance use disorder treatment.
