CHS acquires ownership of 5-hospital joint venture in Oklahoma

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has announced that subsidiaries have acquired full ownership of five hospitals in Oklahoma.

CHS subsidiaries acquired Blackwell (Okla.) Regional Hospital, Clinton (Okla.) Regional Hospital, Marshall County Medical Center in Madill, Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor and Seminole (Okla.) Medical Center.

Previously, the five hospitals were owned through a joint venture between INTEGRIS Health and subsidiaries of Health Management Associates. Community Health Systems acquired HMA in January 2014.
