Children’s Mercy, Olathe Medical Center partner on pediatric facility

Kansas City, Mo.-based Children’s MercyHospital and Olathe (Kan.) Medical Center will partner to provide pediatric urgent care and specialty services at a future facility slated for construction near Olathe’s existing campus, according to KCUR radio.

The partnership is a first for both organizations. Physicians from both facilities will have the opportunity to connect with one another to provide the best care possible for children, especially those with complex medical conditions, according to the article.

Olathe officials said the new obstetrics wing and neonatal intensive care unit will open in 2017.
