With the addition of the five PhysiciansER centers, CHI St. Luke’s is affiliated with eight 24-hour standalone emergency rooms.
“By offering additional choices for our patients and streamlined admittance to our hospitals if needed, we’re putting patient access and convenience at the forefront — which support our mission perfectly,” Michael Covert, CEO of CHI St. Luke’s, said in a statement to the Houston Chronicle.
The health system’s new freestanding ER centers are mostly located in Houston’s northern suburbs.
