CHS announced plans in August to create QHC, a move intended to strengthen CHS’ focus on larger markets. CHS originally planned for QHC to be independent by the end of March, but CHS pushed that date back on Thursday.

Although there has been a delay in the deal, CHS expects the transaction to be completed before June. The for-profit hospital network said there were several reasons the closing date was pushed back, including market conditions.
