The agreement is the result of months of partnership talks, as Bon Secours and WMC began joint venture discussions in December 2014.

Regarding the joint venture, WMC Board Chair Mark Tulis said, “Our vision is to build on Bon Secours’ strong foundation, enhance what is available and foster integration and coordination, which will ensure the long-term viability of these partners and more.” Mr. Tulis added that the partnership is part of a long-term strategic plan to invest in the Hudson Valley.

The partnership between Bon Secours and WMC is similar to a 2014 joint venture WMC entered into with MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
