The goal of the proposed acquisition is to expand services and improvements at DCHS.
Officials said they hope to craft a definitive acquisition agreement within the coming months and expect to finalize the transaction during the second quarter of 2018, pending approval by Bellin Health and DCHS’ boards, as well as the Dickinson County Board of Commissioners.
Bellin Health officials also said the institution will offer current DCHS employees positions within the health system.
