Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas to affiliate with UT Medical Branch

Beaumont -based Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas signed a clinical affiliation agreement with The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. The agreement was effective Jan. 1, according to the Beaumont Enterprise.

Under the terms of the agreement, UTMB staff and students will extend their services and engage in educational opportunities with patients in southeast Texas. Through the affiliation, patients will have access to telemedicine services and will be eligible for consultations in psychiatry and psychology, gynecologic oncology, pediatrics and pediatric ophthalmology.

“Baptist is very pleased to partner with a world-class academic medical center like UTMB,” said David Parmer, CEO of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
