Peter Chapman, president of FCH’s board of trustees, confirmed the affiliation, according to the article.
Under the terms of the agreement, FCH will have access to services provided by Baptist Health South Florida. Officials said the medical staff and the board of trustees will also have the opportunity to remain at the hospital. The financial terms of the transaction have yet to be disclosed.
FCH selected Franklin, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources, a spinoff of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, to manage the facility in 2010. If officials approve the affiliation agreement, Quorum Health will no longer manage the facility.
