The agreement licensed Kindred Healthcare to provide home health and personal care services to 69 counties and hospice care in 42 counties. As part of the agreement, Kindred will retain all current employees and continue to serve all current patients.
Including the contracts Kindred maintained prior to the agreement, the company will now provide home health services to 72 of the state’s 75 counties, according to Kindred officials.
Kindred received the $39 million contract through a state bidding process.
