1. Sanford Health, Mid Dakota Clinic will reportedly abandon merger plans if appeal fails
Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health and Bismarck, S.D.-based Mid Dakota Clinic said they will abandon plans to merge if their appeal of a lower court's ruling is not successful.
2. CHS to sell 421-bed Florida hospital
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems inked a definitive agreement to sell Ocala, Fla.-based Munroe Regional Medical Center and its assets, the 126-hospital system announced April 18.
3. CHOP signs deal to provide medical services in UAE
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the United Arab Emirates entered into a medical services agreement April 16 to provide medical care for children in the UAE.
4. KentuckyOne Health sells 25-bed critical access hospital
Louisville, Ky.-based KentuckyOne Health entered into a definitive agreement to sell Saint Joseph Martin (Ky.) and its four clinics to Lexington, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare.
