The two hospitals involved in the transaction are 214-bed Lancaster (Pa.) Regional Medical Center and 148-bed Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz, Pa.
A spokesperson for both Lancaster Regional facilities said the institutions “are very optimistic that the transaction will be completed” by July 1, but have yet to receive all the necessary regulatory approvals, according to the report.
CHS and PinnacleHealth entered an acquisition agreement in March, but did not provide a specific timeline detailing when the acquisition would be completed.
The financial details of the transaction have not been released.
