The board of Erie, Penn-based Hamot Health Foundation has unanimously agreed to affiliate and integrate Hamot Medical Center with the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, according to a HMC news release.
The 375-bed HMC is part of HHF. The operational integration between these two medical institutions is expected to begin as soon as customary regulatory processes are completed. HMC and UPMC first signed a letter of intent in Aug. 2010.
