UNMC medical school receives $1.25M grant

Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine has received a $1.25 million grant through the Science Education Partnership Award Program, according to KETV.com.

The grant, which is supported by the National Institutes of Health, was originally funded in 2005 and has been renewed for another five years.

Through the grant, the medical school will improve its science and math summer programs for Native American youth in Nebraska and South Dakota.
