University of Missouri medical school associate dean steps down

Rachel Brown, MD, left her position as Columbia-based University of Missouri School of Medicine’s associate dean for student programs and professional development, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune.

Dr. Brown, who came to the university in 1998, has held her current position since 2006. She’s stepping down to focus on her academic work as a professor of clinical psychiatry.

Dr. Brown was replaced by Laine Young-Walker, MD, the medical school’s chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
