Here are three things to know about the arrangement.
1. Under the agreement, ownership of RiverBend will transfer to Sisters of Providence Health System, according to a MassLive report.
2. RiverBend will have the same practitioners and does not plan to close any offices.
3. Richard Shuman, MD, president of RiverBend, said on the medical group’s website that RiverBend’s new relationship with Mercy Medical Center “will allow us to continue to pursue our vision of an inspired patient experience,” and “be able to further enhance our patient care and increase the services available.”
