Searchers found the remains of Patrick J. Fitzpatrick, MD, an ophthalmologist, near the area where his vehicle was initially discovered in July 2015, according to a press release from the county obtained by NBC Montana.
The sheriff’s office conducted a second search in March 2017. Last month, search and rescue teams conducted a third search, reviewing the areas near where officials discovered Dr. Fitzpatrick’s vehicle. A bloodhound uncovered the ophthalmologist’s remains approximately 1 mile east of where officials found the vehicle.
Dr. Fitzpatrick was last seen at a bank in Bozeman, Mont., in July 2015. Police said May 3 there was no indication of foul play, according to the report.
