Michael Ehrenreich, MD, is the author, composer and lyricist behind “Medicine the Musical,” a production analyzing the trials and tribulations medical professionals face during the various phases of their careers.

“What started as the seed of an idea while I was in medical school has now matured into a full-fledged musical production,” said Dr. Ehrenreich.

Set against a “dynamic” rock music score, the musical aims to offer a unique perspective on the medical world, told through the eyes of a group of first-year medical students.

Dr. Ehrenreich said the details of the Off-Broadway production have yet to be determined and depend on how much money the Kickstarter campaign raises. Thus far, the campaign has raised $7,643 of its $20,000 goal.
