Body of missing woman found at Ohio hospital

The body of a woman who had reportedly gone missing Dec. 30 was found at Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center just before 8 a.m. Thursday, according to The Blade.

The Toledo Police Department said Sharon Ward may have fallen or jumped from the sixth floor of the hospital's parking garage, the report states.

Authorities said they discovered a body after a maintenance worker said he noticed a shoe in the bushes near the parking structure, and later discovered Ms. Ward's body.

Police, who reported Ms. Ward's disappearance on their Facebook page Jan. 2, said the coroner's office will complete an autopsy of the body.

The situation is still under investigation.
