Interviews for the four available residency positions will take place in October. The first class of OB-GYN residents will begin their time at the hospital in July 2017.
Meanwhile, MountainView is also expanding its Women’s Services Department by increasing the number of labor and delivery beds to 12 and the number of post-partum beds to 32. Through the $90 million campus expansion project, the hospital also plans on opening a 24-bed Level III NICU.
The OB-GYN program’s accreditation will bring the number of MountainView’s available residency positions up to 104 over three programs. The hospital’s general surgery residency program received ACGME accreditation earlier this month, and its internal medicine residency program received ACGME accreditation last fall.
