Founder of Sutter Medical Group retires after 43 years

Bob Farrell, MD, founder of Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Medical Group, is retiring after practicing pediatric medicine for 43 years, according to KCRA 3.

Dr. Farrell came to Sacramento in 1974 after three years working as a physician for the U.S. Army in San Antonio and Germany. News of his retirement has led to an outpouring of support from longtime patients and their families who have been coming to see Dr. Farrell for generations.

"It's incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't personally want anything different," Dr. Farrell said. "I've landed in the right place."
