The award comes from the Design-Build Institute of America, whose award program highlights the achievements of owners and design-build teams in numerous categories.

Cuningham Group Swinerton Builders were honored in the “healthcare facilities” category.

SharpMesaVistaHospital, a behavioral health facility, was originally built in the 1960s. Through the renovation project, Cuningham Group and Swinerton Builders revamped three of the hospital’s buildings, providing SharpMesaVistaHospital with a redesigned front entry, a new floor plan and improved bathrooms.
