ZDoggMD channels Darth Vader in commentary on hospital communication woes

The next target for commentary from hospitalist-turned-rapper Zubin Damania, MD: communication problems in the hospital. Dr. Damania, whose rapper name is ZDoggMD has channeled a new character, Doc Vader, as he spoofs Star Wars to discuss the antiquated communication techniques still employed in hospitals.

In a series of three short episodes — Episode I: The Pager Menace, Episode II: The Clone Wards and Episode III: Revenge of the Fax — Doc Vader faces the problems of technologies like pages and fax machines and how they contribute to physician burnout.

"It is a time of strife in the hospital," reads the description on ZDoggMD's website. "Physicians, relentlessly beaten down by the forces of evil, are burning out across the galaxy. The Dark Side clouds everything… But there has been an Awakening. Have you felt it?"

Episode I: The Pager Menace
