General Assembly is a global education institution. Based on his experience growing and leading the institution, Mr. Schwartz believes data skills are the most important in today’s job market.

“Right now we’re seeing demand for data skills,” he said, according to the report. “Data skills, analytics, data science — things around that [are] exploding at just an incredible rate.”

Mr. Schwartz added that the demand for data skills is even greater than it is for coding skills.

“I think you’ll see this over many years to come, which is this constant rotation of skills that are needed in order to keep up with the digital economy,” Mr. Schwartz said, according to the report.
