Under the newest collaboration, areas such as cardiovascular services, cancer care and clinical trials, physician recruitment, population health, patient safety, and undergraduate and graduate medical education will be the focus for new patient care partnerships.
The expanded relationship between the two health systems will do more than expand services, according to Peter J. Bernard, CEO of Bon Secours Virginia Health System.
“This agreement will help increase coordination and enhance transitions of care between Bon Secours and UVA care providers,” said Mr. Bernard.
The agreement also consolidates existing partnerships between the two health systems into a single agreement.
