Tulare Regional Medical Center board president resigns

Tulare (Calif.) Regional Medical Center Board of Directors President Linda Wilbourn resigned, according to a Visalia Times-Delta report.

In a resignation letter, Ms. Wilbourn said she is resigning because she is moving out of the district this year.

She also noted in the letter, "My votes have never been influenced by others, but what I felt were the best for TRMC. I have always believed that the unique partnership between the district and HCCA was an innovative solution to the success of our hospital."

In a quick meeting held by three board members, Ms. Wilbourn's resignation was announced. The board members also called on volunteers to seek election to the board.

"I know there are some very good and bright people who can easily take my place," Ms. Wilbourn said in the resignation letter, according to the report.
