Trump tells Senate to repeal ACA

President Donald Trump held a press conference Monday where he called on Senate Republicans to pass their replacement bill, calling, according to NBC News.

The event hosted families the president described as "victims" of the ACA. Mr. Trump said that while many Democrats have criticized the proposed Republican bills, the ACA is more dangerous to Americans than any Republican bills.

"They say death, death, death. Well, Obamacare is death," Mr. Trump said. "That's the one that's death."

Mr. Trump brought attention to GOP leadership for its inability to build consensus around the party's bill, but also blamed "obstructionist" Democrats for refusing to help, though even Republican senators complained of their party's closed drafting process for the bill.

Republican leaders have said they will vote on a motion to proceed with debate on the version of the healthcare bill that passed through the House, though it is unclear if it has the support to pass.
