The findings of the report are based on a survey for nurses conducted online from October to November 2012. The 969 respondents were self-selected.
Seventy-six percent of the respondents reported being satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs. Only five percent reported being very dissatisfied.
Top drivers of nurse satisfaction are:
• Caring for patients, helping others and making a difference — 35 percent
• Colleagues and team collaboration — 28 percent
• Work/life balance — 15 percent
• Autonomy — 10 percent
• Compensation — 10 percent
