Susan Melvin, DO. CMO of Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Melvin has served as Long Beach Memorial’s CMO since 2012, after serving as associate CMO for a year. Prior to joining Long Beach Memorial, she was president and CEO of Long Beach-based Memorial Family Medicine, served on Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System’s board of directors and was chair of the 2,000-member MemorialCare Physician Society. Dr. Melvin holds academic appointments as a clinical professor at University of California, Irvine College of Medicine and Pomona, Calif.-based Western University of Health Sciences. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif.
