South Carolina’s Seacoast Medical Center to Begin Treating Inpatients

Loris Healthcare System’s Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, S.C., will begin treating inpatients as soon as its new inpatient wing receives certification from the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, according to a Sun News report.

Seacoast currently operates at 24-hour emergency department and outpatient services, but does not currently keep patients overnight. The 50-bed inpatient wing is scheduled for inspection in early July.

Seacoast has hired nearly 100 employees to staff the new wing, according to the report.
