Seema Verma: Officials ‘actively engaged’ in developing ACA replacement

CMS Administrator Seema Verma said the Trump administration is “actively engaged in conversations and working on things” related to an ACA alternative, according to The Hill.

The Trump administration indicated earlier this month that it will release a healthcare plan in September, and at the end of July said it aims to unveil a new healthcare measure every two to three weeks until the 2020 election.

The continued push to demonstrate progress on healthcare comes as Democrats debate single-payer and public option healthcare plans, and the Trump administration backs a lawsuit that seeks to find the ACA unconstitutional.
