The name change will apply to the main hospital and its network of physicians.
Craig Kinyon, Reid president and CEO, said the change better reflects the many services Reid offers throughout the region — that is, much more than in-hospital care. “Reid has truly become an integrated health system as we have changed and adapted to unprecedented challenges being experienced across the nation,” he told the Pal-Item.
Reid, which serves east central Indiana and west central Ohio, has approximately 2,600 team members. It will remain an independent health system with no plans to merge with other organizations.
The name change date coincides with the system’s 110th birthday.
