Dr. Richardson fell while working on home repairs on Aug. 13. He was taken to a metro-area hospital and was placed in critical condition. Dr. Richardson died Sept. 2.
Dr. Robertson been serving as acting dean since Dr. Richardson’s accident. OHSU School of Medicine officials said there is no distinct timeline to find a permanent or interim dean. The medical school begins its new school year Sept. 26.
The OHSU Foundation and Dr. Richardson’s family have created the Mark A. Richardson Deanship Endowment in his honor.
